Off Topic- Chicago Blackhawks Training Camp At Notre Dame

I managed to do a switch day with a co-worker so Mike and I could attend at least one day of training camp for the Chicago Blackhawks. One of the things that we share is our love of hockey and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Mike was able to get tickets for day one of training camp. It was held at the Compton Family Ice Arena at the University of Notre Dame.  We attended day one, of three that was held this weekend.

We managed to get really good seats.

It was a lot of fun watching the scrimmage games and seeing some of our favorite hockey players. We went to the Training Camp Festival last year at the United Center in Chicago.  We also try to make it to one or two games every year if we can.

It’s pretty cool to be inches away from your favorite players.  I really like left wing, #81 Marian Hossa. I’ve been following him since he was with the Red Wings.

Mike was pretty happy to see his favorite player, the goal tender #50, Corey Crawford.

Corey Crawford is a really sweet guy. While he was sitting on the edge of the bench he was gracious enough to pose for some photo’s for a few fans. I thought that was awesome.

I got to see some friends I hadn’t seen in awhile also. We had a lot of fun. It was really nice to forget about everything that’s going on in life right now. Too bad we can’t make it to the United Center on Monday for the festival.  Stupid work.

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!
